A weekend when all the Sanderson High School graduates from all years return for what is a very joyous reunion. Live music, food, story telling, ice cream competition, brisket cook off and games for the kids.
Fabulous food, dancing to regional favorites performing live, mariachis and plenty of friendly people from all parts of the state. Very popular annual event.
Exotic cars run Hwy 285 from Fort Stockton to Sanderson in the morning and back to Fort Stockton in the afternoon. It is against the clock and spread out all day long. Around 400 entrants from all over the US.
The Music festival is centered in Alpine with entertainment throughout the Big Bend Region. Promoted by Texas Music Magazine, lots of new and well known bands participate.
All the downtown merchants are open for the evening with entertainment, door prizes and refreshments. A Christmas parade with Santa arriving via the fire truck and hands out gifts to all the kids.
Snake Days will be returning to Sanderson in June of 2020.. Seminars, Trade Show, Exhibits and prizes. Several species are indigenous to this area, including the Gray Banded King Snake and several frogs.
